Landscapes

My landscape paintings can be realistic or abstract. Most often they are either interpretations of existing landscapes or imagined spaces. Often they focus on industrial spaces from New York and other cities - rather than rural landscapes - but I still classify them as Landscapes.

Some of the Landscapes directly commenting on urban sprawl, massive human expansion and what we have come to classify as progress. Other Landscapes are truly landscapes. I am commenting on the raw beauty of nature - something I often forget when living in New York City.

You'll notice a great of deal of topographical imagery in my most of my landscapes. I love capturing the world from above, as a bird may see it, from a quiet place. It's beautiful, the aerial view of streets, geography, and topography.
